Wildfires break out across Los Angeles

Four wildfires are burning in Los Angeles, spreading to nearly 6,000 acres in total and forcing evacuation orders for more than 30,000 residents. The Palisades Fire was first reported in northwest LA on Tuesday morning. It began as a brush fire that grew quickly thanks to powerful winds. It has burned nearly 3,000 acres and threatened more than 10,000 homes, making it the largest of the four wildfires.

A second wildfire, the Eaton Fire, broke out Tuesday night in northern Los Angeles County and has burned over 2,000 acres. A third wildfire, Hurst, was reported late in the night and has spread to 500 acres. The Woodley Fire started early Wednesday morning.

As of Wednesday morning, all four fires are 0% contained, according to CalFire.
