The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is monitoring three key areas of interest that could cause storms and damage in the tropics. One of these areas in the central Atlantic is expected to develop into a tropical depression or storm today or Saturday and could become the second named storm of the season. The system has a 90% chance of development, potentially becoming a hurricane.
